The door may not be closed due to a tilted dishwasher. The water level should be checked after the initial fill on the cycle. The gasket usually made of vinyl or more commonly rubber creates a seal to keep water from leaking out. This could be the case if you see that the water is leaking around the front door of the dishwasher.

Check the dishwasher door gasket for any type of food broken glass or gunk buildup and clean if necessary. If it was leaking around the seal of the 90 degree elbow joints look for any visible cracks on or around the 90 degree elbow joint. The dishwasher may leak during operation if it is not correctly leveled. Certain lg dishwasher models will have an inlet valve with a fixed 90 degree elbow joint pre installed.

The door seal may have particles of food or broken glass on it near the bottom or sides and therefore cannot make a tight seal. The gasket will eventually get brittle or damaged. The gasket of the door doesn t have a seal anymore. If the gasket is torn the dishwasher may leak water.

The door gasket creates a seal around the dishwasher to prevent water from leaking out. The most common reason a dishwasher leaks water from the front door is the door seal gasket. So the only attachment will be the water supply line upon setup. If the door gasket has any gaps or leaks replace it.

Check the leveling of the appliance. If the hinges are bent the door will not close properly creating a gap between the door gasket and the dishwasher. If the dollar bill does not stick there is a gap in the gasket.
